Super League… travels to Brazil

21 out of the 23 players chosen by the Head Coach of the Greek National Team Mr Fernando Santos have had many participations in the Youth League championship as well as the top championship of Super League.

From the Youth League of the Super League come players such as Stefanos Kapino, who won the Championship during the 2008/2009 season with the U-18 team and during the 2011/2012 season with the U-20 team of Panathinaikos; Kostas Manolas who started playing football in the academies of Thrasivoulos; Giorgos Tzavellas who first played football in Kerkyra; Panagiotis Tachtsidis from AEK; and Giannis Fetfatzidis, who won the Championship during the 2009/2010 season with the U-21 team of Olympiacos.

With the exceptions of Giorgos Samaras, who has not played in the Super League, and Fanis Gekas, who left Panathinaikos before the first championship organised by the Super League, the remaining 21 National Team players who will travel to Brazil to participate in the World Cup have played many matches in the Greek championship, offering excitement to all fans, regardless of the club they support.
